Don Bosco Youth Centre Vaduthala
Don Bosco Youth Center is an institution belonging to the Salesians of Don Bosco. Don Bosco Youth Centre Vaduthala is part of a global movement of Salesians, which is an international educational and religious society, founded by St. John Bosco, Father and Friend of Youth, spread over 135 countries for the service of the young. Don Bosco Vaduthala had its humble beginning in the year 1956 as a Youth Centre. This was the first programme the Salesian Community started in this area for the spiritual, cultural, psychological and social development of youth. It is the cradle of Don Bosco’s work in Kerala. Today after 59 years of his commendable and creditable service it has grown up to one of the major educational centers in Kochi and the state as a whole. Don Bosco Youth Centre Vaduthala From the start had a great impact on the lives of the people of the neighborhood. The youth centre helps in the character formation of youth to become good citizens. The youth of this locality who belong to the age group of 8 and above are present target group of youth centre and they belong to different classes in socio economic and educational conditions. At present the Youth Centre has around 800 members. Though there exists differences in socio-economic and educational level, the common spirit of youth centre binds them together.

Don Bosco Youth center aims at spiritual, intellectual, social, moral and human development of the young especially the poor and deprived through the preventive system of Don Bosco expressed in an atmosphere of joy, optimism and family spirit.

Our services
- 1. Striving for the intellectual, spiritual, cultural, social and physical formation of youth.
- 2. Inculcate in the young the gospel values and help them to be useful and responsible toward themselves, their families and their country.
- 3. Animation of youth providing guidance and counseling by skilled and resourceful personnel.
- 4. Co-ordination of creative and qualitative programmes spaced out through the year.
- 5. Providing library facilities and opportunities to learn music, sports and arts.
- 6. Providing opportunities for cultural and social development of the people, through the celebrations of festivals like Onam, Christmas, Don Bosco feast etc.
- 7. Conducting various social service programmes for the local community.
